Something really cool we do every year is keep a “The Happiness Jar. ”
We have made our own happiness jar, (that’s it up top) and every day we pop in a wee note of something that made us happy that day.
You can have a happiness jar, bowl, box, barrel, wall, tree! The choice is yours, just be sure to put it where you can see it every day to remind you.
I absolutely love this concept, it’s a beautiful way to reflect on a moment of each day. And, if you are having one of those days, you know the ones, the very, not happy days! Go to your jar, pull out one of your wee notes, and that little note will trigger a memory which will trigger a smile and just like magic, your day will get a little brighter.
At the end of the year I empty all the little notes out into a bowl, and then I use those as scrap paper, for shopping lists etc, each time I pull one out to use, I read the happy note on the other side. As these notes could be written by anyone in our family or friends that have visited over the year, it is a really beautiful reminder of the year that was and a great way to brighten your day.
The other day I pulled out one that said ” I am so happy to be with the most beautiful woman in the world” awhhh, that sure made me happy.
Much love beautiful people, go make one today.
